The Treasures

The Treasures

1. First Name. Kelly
2. State and Country of Residence. Pender County, NC
3. Husband’s Ministry Title. Senior Pastor
4. Length of time in Current Ministry Location. {IMPORTANT: There are several of you who may not be in a current ‘official’ pastorate/ministry, etc. That makes you no less a minister’s wife! You play along, girlfriends, and let us pray for you!}
Going on 9 years. Almost a decade! Can’t believe how old everyone ELSE is getting!
5. Children? If yes, give gender and ages.
3 boys! 12, 10 and 6 My life is crazy to say the least.
6. Number of unique homes in which you’ve lived during your marriage.
LOL 3 the 2nd one was the church parsonage (not our current church) and the first week we killed 22 mice! Yeah, you read that right! TWENTY-TWO
7. Cook Sunday lunch or eat out? We do both. If I tell my husband we are having chicken casserole, we always go out! LOL Honestly, I haven’t cooked that in years.
8. Typically on time for Sunday School or not? LATE!!!! Always late! I’m so bad.
9. Favorite TV Show. Ummmmmmmm, should I admit this or not. Hmmmmm, ok people don’t judge me too bad, but I do love Desperate Housewives.
10. Something you watch/like/do that you would never tell the church people. (Except now you just did…lol) SEE ABOVE!
11. Most annoying church-related pet peeve. People who always gripe! I just run the other way. OR! People who think I’m the complaint department.
12. One thing you need to throw away but can’t bring yourself to do it. Ok, my husband could come up with a long list, but I can’t think of anything! Really, I can’t.
13. The one food you can not live without. Mexican food! Love it!
14. Parsonage or have your own home? It’s OURS!!! Our current church does not have a parsonage. So any mice we have now is our own fault.
15. Freak when the doorbell rings or always ready for a visitor? LOL FREAK! Refer to #5. Three boys. Is it just me, or what? But when my house is SPOTLESS nobody, I mean nobody comes! When it’s a disaster, they are beating my door down. Even the in-laws come! What’s up with that?

  1. YAY KELLY !! YOU DID IT!!!

I am so excited when a new PW blog is born..lol I am SO glad you are playing along! I worried that I had left you out...:)))

And if it makes you feel better, I am consistently 5-7 minutes late for Sunday School every single week. I also have 3 boys (and a baby girl) so cut a girl some slack! lol

    Much love..L

  2. Lisa, I'm not the type to be left out for long! I keep telling my friends how shy I am, but they don't believe me.

Technically, I'm not late for SS, I'm always late for our first service, but if I play my cards right I can come in when they shake hands and nobody notices. Right? LOL

  5. We did the whole mice thing in a parsonage one time, too. They are what prompted us to buy a home when we lived in KY....I finally just gave up and let the mice have the place!

AND totally glad that someone else said they freak when someone comes to the door....I was beginning to feel like an outcast!

  12. Kelly, I thought I had already posted here, but I guess I saw the 22 mice and immediately had to share my story. :) That cracks me up about the chicken casserole. There are only so many ways to make chicken, right? Love the pic of your kids! So cute! Nice to "meet" you!
